Remote Control Fishing Boats are for Girls too!

It wasn’t hard, my daughter loves catching fish! We did a video of her and her friend fishing with the new Fish Fun LuckyStrike RC Fishing Boat. It’s hard to teach the kids to cast, so they jumped at the opportunity to try fishing without casting. As a matter of fact, the kids these days are automatic professionals when it comes to anything with remote control. My daughter has tried every game out there so I didn’t have to teach her how to operate the boat at all. Uncle Don came by and hooked the fish and let the girls bring in the fish with the boat. Summers in Michigan fly by so any chance I can get I try to involve her in things I like to do, especially if it’s outdoors! I’m sure we’ll do this again next year when it warms up again.

Going camping without my Radio Ranger Remote Control Fishing Boat is now something that I must turn back to get if I forget and if I don’t my kids won’t be too happy. I don’t care how far from home we are!

 To be honest, it is me, I’m the one, that isn’t going to be a happy camper without my little electric fishing boat. I actually got into R/C fishing when I was looking for something to help my little ones get interested in fishing, and to have a little more fun when we go fishing.

The thing that surprises me about these Fish Fun Co. Rc Fishing Boats is there’s two ways to use them. My kids like being able to catch a fish with a piece of fishing line on the boat and retrieve it with the boat too. The boat does all the work, pulling the fish in with the remote controller the boat gives them a real thrill, like when they’re playing those video games. I like it too because they want to go fishing now. I can also use it along with my fishing pole. I like being able to drive my fishing line out 300 feet and dropping the line where I want. And I can go after the big fish in the lake. The line release works like a charm, a fish hit’s, line disconnects and I reel in the fish with my fishing pole. 

The only thing is I can’t get it away from the kids! 

When we first went fishing with the Radio Ranger my kids were so amazed and interested by this little boat that they were actually fighting over who got to use it. Previously, they were always complaining when I dragged them along to go fishing with me, now they get angry if I go without them! My son at only four years old caught his first Bass with the help of an RC fishing boat. I found the biggest problem about having a young fisherman like my son was the fact that he was unable to cast far enough. Of course, I casted for him and then when we got a bite I’d let him reel it in, but the Radio Ranger was responsible for his first 100% solo catch. When I go camping I no longer have to worry about my son and daughter running around all over the campground and causing trouble. They’ll literally Spend hours sitting in front of the dock trolling around the dock with the Radio Ranger.

A few things that I enjoyed about the Fish Fun boat’s were the fact that this boat is very easy to control, and my little ones with their limited motor skills were able to effectively steer it without getting into any trouble. The range of the Radio Ranger was also something I was impressed with, at a two hundred to three hundred foot range I can let my kids control it without too much worry about it going out of range. I also like the power of the Radio Ranger, having duel engines makes it easily strong enough to bring in any dock fish such as crappie and sunfish. My kids really enjoy trolling around the docks and doing catch and release for the smaller fish. 

The only downside, if you can call it a downside, is the amount of questions you’ll get from people asking where to get one. I guess it’s not every day you see a fishing RC boat like the Radio Ranger. Overall, it is the boat I recommend for anyone when they ask me what RC fishing boat they should get. It’s great for beginners to experienced users alike. One more recommendation, is invest in extra rc battery packs, because you won’t want to quit!

A Remote Control Fishing Boat assists Catching a Tuna Fish while Deep Sea RC Fishing in The Indian Ocean

A few days ago Mr. Alman Caught a Tuna while Deep Sea Fishing and we were lucky to have caught the story firsthand. We had the pleasure to talk one on one with one “Mr. Alman” who told us all about his great adventure RC Fishing in the Indian Ocean! As we soon find out this is anything but a normal fishing story, it’s one I would have never thought possible!

It starts out like any other fishing story, with a twist. First Mr. Alman decides he wants to use a remote control fishing boat on his upcoming fishing trip. In preparation for the trip Mr. Alman, buys the “Radio Ranger” He likes the rc boat called the “Radio Ranger” because it’s big 380 motors, and at 32″ it’s big, it appears it will be seaworthy, since he plans to use it in the Indian Ocean. We might add he also buys an extra 3000mah extra battery. Now, while normally most people go rc fishing around lakes and ponds, there’s no reason why it wouldn’t be just as useful, and fun in the ocean!

One of the great features people like about RC Fishing boats are the ability to precisely deliver the bait to a place you normally can’t cast. Mr. Alman tells the story like this. He and his friend are in a boat 12 miles offshore and arrive to a good fishing spot. They know that the fish tend to be around the big oil tankers, he tells his friend to stop so he can drive his bait out to the tanker with the “Radio Ranger” his friend disagreed and wanted to just drive the big boat next to the tanker. After bringing the boat to the tanker he said the big outboard motors had scared off the fish. They retreated away from the tanker a few hundred feet and deployed the “Radio Ranger” with the baited hook in tow.
Bammo “Fish On”! Mr. Alman delivered the baited hook and dropped his line next to the tanker, and just as he got the “Radio Ranger” back to the big boat he feels a hit! He hardly believed how big a strike it is, “It’s a Yellow Fin Tuna”!

RC Fishing with a Traxxas Blast Remote Control Boat

We put "The RC Fishing Pole" on a Traxxas Blast!

It’s still a little early here in Michigan for fishing on the local lake. But that couldn’t stop us from trying something I’ve been planning since I bought a new rc boat. I had heard a Traxxas is a really good remote control boat so I chose the most inexpensive model they make which is the “Blast”. The boat didn’t come with a battery or charger like most of the other ones I have did. The boat itself was about $100, my choice of battery was a Venom 7.2 volt 2400mah nicad which proved to be very impressive since I’m used to using 1800mah. The battery made a huge difference, and is just what I needed for the new boat’s fishing trip.
Second part of this story is the fishing part. My buddy Wally and I bought 2 Fish Fun “RC Fishing Poles”. I put my “RC Fishing Pole” on the Traxxas Blast rc boat. Wally put his “RC Fishing Pole” on the Ed Hardy remote control boat, (with a different top on it). So, we didn’t have much luck with catching any fish, but we had a “blast”. Speaking of a blast, I really liked the Traxxas boat I used. Wally used the line release pads, so if a big fish hit his worm, the line will disconnect. RC Fishing World introduced the “Radio Ranger” rc fishing boat last fall. This is a very popular choice, and we can see. One look at it and you’re impressed by the size, it’s almost 3 feet long! Next are the great graphics that are all over the boat. Once we inspect the boat as a whole, only then do we see the design is what makes this r/c boat a winner.
